What Are The Features & Application Of Jacketed Ball Valves?

Valves are commonly used for several purposes. The valves are almost used everywhere to track and regulate the flow of constituents used for machine operation to a variety of other performance monitoring and flow work.

Jacket ball valves are the valves that contain the surroundings, also known as the Jacket, around their bodies. This is the reason why these valves are called Jacketed Valves. Jacketed ball valve manufacturers ensure they are welded right from the outside of the body. There is a wide range of jacketed valves being produced throughout the industry. Each of which depends on the level of the flow media, the pressure involved, the temperature at which it operates, and the performance and level of operation of the industry.

It is well known that the jacketed valves are specially made for the media fluid that retains the crystallized or captured properties. It should be remembered that these valves should not be affected during additional heating and cooling procedures.

Jacket ball valves have several features and applications, below are some of the major features and their applications

Features

  • The jacketed valves are mostly available in the form of 2-way or 3-way shapes along with flanged ends.
  • The screwed or welded ends of the valves are also available on request.
  • Jacket ball valves are designed to handle even the highest degree of viscous materials that solidify at ambient temperatures.
  • Mostly comes with a maintenance-free stem seal
  • New O-ring to enhance reliability and adherence
  • Can be configured in line with customer requirements

Applications of Jacket Ball Valve

The jackets ensure consistent heating or cooling of the process media to prevent the crystallization or seizing of the flow media. The jacketed ball valve is very well built to allow high-temperature steam or oil pass through the valve ball and body parts to hold the media liquid. This refers in particular to products such as bitumen and liquid sulfide. The effective movement of information by the removal of pockets is assured. Vapor may be used as a carrier for heating media in jacketed ball valves.

The welded jackets, consisting of two shells, extend from the flange to the flange and ensure continuous heating or cooling of the process media to avoid the crystallization or seizing of the flow media. It refers in particular to media such as bitumen, liquid sulfur, resins, etc. The effective movement of information by the removal of pockets is assured. Oil, steam, water, brine can be used as a carrier for heating or cooling. The unique valve configuration allows the hydrostatic and pneumatic inspection of the valve body before the jacket’s welding process. Following the quality control guidelines, every valve is rechecked after the jackets have been welded to the body.

The jacketed ball valve comes in a series of forms that have been tested and used for various operations. The best reason to use these valves for control processes is that even when a fire breaks out, it does not cause any failure to spread, and before buying ask your jacketed ball valve manufacturer all the information as per your requirements and needs.
